The Director of Internships & Corporate Outreach at the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia is looking for companies to sponsor BME students for internships this summer.
Usually an internship costs $4,500 and we can provide a $1,000 stipend from an NSF grant to a student which defrays from the cost that a company would have to pay. The internship is full-time for 10 weeks. We have a number of students who are interested in staying in the Charlottesville area and others whose interests range from Virginia to California. We also have a couple of internships in the bioengineering area which includes some of the computer science; mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering areas. I hope to hear from you soon!
