CBIC Offers New Individual Membership Classification: "Free Agent (for the unemployed)"
This membership and its corresponding $30 rate (through June 30, 2009), is available to all individuals in the community who may have been displaced by the sagging economy but want to stay connected to the Council and its membership network. The typical corporate and associate membership rates for CBIC range from $125-$275 per year.
"In this severe economic contraction, CBIC wants to do all it can to support those who have felt the pinch most acutely," said Tracey Linkous, CBIC's Chairman of the Board. "This membership category enables those who have found themselves without employment to remain engaged with CBIC, its members and the benefits of membership, including membership rates for networking and educational events," she continued.
"Free- Agent" CBIC members will receive the same membership benefits bestowed upon the corporate and associate classes, which includes free or discounted admission to all CBIC events and programs, a complementary membership in the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce, access to the Charlottesville Technology Incubator, speaker and panel opportunities, and more.
