The Charlottesville Business Innovation Council has announced the finalists for its 2016 awards. Building on last year's expanded line-up of award categories, this year's finalists represent some of the most inspiring technology-centric business leaders, teachers, student entrepreneurs and organizations in the region.

"This annual gathering seeks to inspire and inform as well as to further the creation of a community where we celebrate each other's accomplishments and recognize individual contributions to our innovation-based ecosystem," said Tracey Greene, co-chair of the CBIC Awards Gala. "The gala also encourages attendees to develop relationships that create a fertile future for growth and expansion."
